Sick Culture (Pty) Ltd (registration 2025/676430/07), operating from Cape Town, South Africa (“we”, “us”). We are the responsible party for the personal information we process as defined under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
2. What we collect
- Contact details you give us at checkout, booking, or via the contact form — name, email, phone, shipping address.
- Order history, booking history, and customer service correspondence.
- Technical data — IP, browser, pages viewed — via privacy-respecting analytics.
- Payment data handled exclusively by Yoco / our PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store card numbers.
3. Why we use it
To fulfil your orders, email order confirmations, handle returns, and give you customer support. We also analyse site usage in aggregate to improve our products and service.
4. Who we share it with
- Payment processors (Yoco) — only what’s needed to charge/refund.
- Shipping couriers (Courier Guy, Aramex) — address and parcel details.
- Accounting (Xero) — invoice data.
- Transactional email (Resend) — to send order notifications.
We never sell your data to third parties.
5. Your rights under POPIA
You can access, correct, or request deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@sickculture.co.za. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies (for cart/session) and privacy-respecting analytics. No third-party advertising trackers.
7. Retention
Order and booking records are retained for 7 years as required by SARS/tax law. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
